School Speech Language Pathologist - Bloomfield, Connecticut
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students and supporting their communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) during the 2026/2027 school year. This position spans from ASAP through June 2027 and is designed for professionals seeking stability and engagement over multiple school sites. You’ll enjoy a full-time workload of 35–37.5 hours per week in a vibrant educational setting, collaborating with a dedicated team to provide essential speech and language services to K–12 students.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting
- Ability to collaborate across various schools and manage a K–12 caseload
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to in-person work; remote candidates will not be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for a diverse student population
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and ongoing professional development
