School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | West Hartford, Connecticut

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic years. This full-time role extends from ASAP through June 2027, providing the unique chance to make a sustained impact in multiple school settings. You’ll be part of a dedicated, collaborative team as one of two SLPs supporting diverse students across several campuses in the West Hartford, CT area.
Work in-person, Monday through Friday, clocking between 35–37.5 hours each week. With caseloads spanning elementary to high school, you'll address a wide variety of communication needs and help students thrive academically and socially.
Desired Background and Skills:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license valid for Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in a school setting, working with K-12 students is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, administrators, and families
- Adaptability to manage services across multiple school sites
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Commitment to providing direct in-person therapy (virtual/remote candidates will not be considered)
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat language, speech, and communication disorders
- Maintain and update student IEPs, progress reports, and related documentation
- Consult with teachers and school staff to support language-based learning
- Partner with families to guide carryover of strategies and progress at home
- Contribute to assessment teams and may participate in student eligibility meetings
