You’ll serve a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students across several welcoming campuses, including preschools, elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification in Alabama, including SLP Educator certification (please verify certification and fingerprinting requirements at the referenced AL certificate portal)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Strong understanding of school-based SLP practices and IEP processes
- Experience managing caseloads of various sizes and working collaboratively with staff and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Conduct thorough student assessments and participate in eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation on time
- Adapt services across multiple campus environments according to student needs
