With a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to approximately 4:30 pm, you’ll work directly with a caseload of 54 students and provide consultative expertise for an additional 14, ensuring each student’s speech and language goals are met and supported.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Hold current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state license (or eligibility) for practice as an SLP in Texas
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and support SLP Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide guidance to assigned SLPA(s), ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Design, plan, and implement tailored individual and group speech/language therapy in accordance with IEP goals
- Accurately assess student progress, adapting treatment methodologies as needed, and determining eligibility for dismissal from therapy services
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation of student services, progress, and communications
