Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for Louisiana (or ability to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates considered
- Experience providing SLP services in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, staff, and parents
- Excellent organizational abilities and comfort with data collection/documentation
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students with communication disorders
- Design and implement individualized SLP treatment plans based on student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Participate in multidisciplinary and IEP meetings to advocate for student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding speech-language development and strategies
