Make a lasting impact as a School Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in a dynamic district near Baltimore, MD. Multiple long-term substitute opportunities are available for dedicated SLPs and SLP-CCCs able to provide onsite services. Choose from several supportive school communities, each offering a unique caseload and the chance to foster communication skills in young learners.
Openings include:
- Waverly Elementary: Full-time, immediate start through mid-February (potential to extend to end of school year). Support students in general education and select regional programs; AAC experience is a plus.
- Veterans Elementary: Full-time, mid-November start. Serve primarily early childhood students through mid-February, possibly longer.
- Deep Run Elementary: Full-time, mid-November through mid-February (potential for extension). Focus on K–5 caseload.
- Atholton & Phelps Luck Elementary: Split schedule (5 days/week total) through mid-February, serving both elementary populations.
What you’ll bring:
- Active Maryland SLP license (required)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are welcome
- Experience or interest in working within school settings, especially K–5 and early childhood
- Preferred: AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) experience
- Ability to work onsite
- Flexibility and collaborative mindset
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Your contributions will include:
- Conducting speech/language therapy with students as assigned
- Developing and implementing IEP goals and progress monitoring
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Supporting inclusive and special education populations, as needed
