School Based Speech Language Pathologist
Step into a meaningful role supporting middle and high school students through expert speech and language services in a welcoming school environment. ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a school-based, contracted position near Avenal, CA for the 26/27 school semester.
This position offers the chance to develop relationships with diverse learners and make a measurable difference in their communication skills. With an immediate start and stability through June 11th, 2027, you’ll become a valued resource for students and school staff alike.
Desired Background:
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
- Effective communicator with students, teachers, and families
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and documentation efficiently
- Committed to fostering students’ academic and personal development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to middle and high school students in accordance with IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and create intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expertise on communication disorders
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports, complying with all state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to reinforce strategies and support students in the classroom
- Engage families in the therapy process and share progress updates
