School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Athens, Georgia

Make a difference in early childhood education by providing speech-language therapy to preschoolers in a welcoming, supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a team of dedicated educators and impact the lives of young learners ages 3–5. You’ll deliver services in-person at one site, focusing on a manageable caseload of approximately 30–35 students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Open to candidates holding SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or those completing their CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children is highly preferred
- Skilled with assessments, documentation, and creating individualized therapy plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with families and staff
- Strong organizational abilities to manage caseload and reporting requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to preschool students in-person each week
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including teachers, families, and other service providers
- Maintain up-to-date documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
- Serve as a resource and advocate for communication needs within the school setting
