Pediatric School Speech Therapist - Atascadero, California
Exciting opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services in a school setting for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract position offers 37.5 hours per week working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple school locations. The role is based primarily in Atascadero, CA, with service areas including Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, and Edna.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Track and document student progress in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Provide therapy services focused on pediatric populations in a school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification required.
- Experience working as an SLP in pediatric or school settings, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) acceptable.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology best practices related to school-aged children.
- Ability to work full time, manage multiple caseloads, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
