Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Atascadero, CA
Enjoy the unique opportunity to support students across Pre-K through 12th grade as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave coverage this fall. This contract position provides part-time hours—three days per week, totaling 21 hours—allowing you to maintain work-life balance while making a meaningful impact.
You’ll play a vital role in educational teams, conducting evaluations, leading IEP meetings, and delivering both direct and indirect services tailored to a diverse range of student needs. The student population presents with a variety of disabilities, ensuring every day brings new experiences and opportunities to make a real difference.
Required Qualifications:
- Current California SLP license or CA CTC credential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience providing speech/language services in pediatric and/or school settings
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Skilled in managing IEP meetings and completing accurate, timely documentation
- Flexibility and sensitivity in working with students of varying ages and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans for students
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver evidence-based direct therapy and consultative services
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and local guidelines
- Work as a valuable team member supporting students across multiple school sites
