Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Aromas, CA
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth and communication development in a vibrant, rural educational environment. Two exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled Speech and Language Pathologists. One position will travel among several rural school sites serving students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade, while the other position is based at a single preschool location, helping children ages 3-5 build foundational language skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children (TK–8th grade) or preschoolers preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 35-45 students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Comfortable working independently and traveling between school sites for the rural position
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement IEPs and individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all school and district guidelines
- Serve as a resource for staff and caregivers, offering strategies for integrating communication goals into daily routines
