Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Aromas, CA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing vital services within a supportive school environment near Aromas, CA. This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 academic year (specific dates to be determined) and will involve working directly onsite with students, staff, and families across one or more schools.
Candidates with prior school-based SLP experience in California and those who are bilingual in Spanish are highly desired, as the district values effective, culturally responsive communication. Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC certification
- Active California SLP license (required)
- Previous experience in a CA school setting strongly preferred
- Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of direct therapy and assessment best practices
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students
- Conduct assessments to identify communication needs
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt services to meet diverse student needs and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
