An opportunity is open for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide services on a contract basis. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and IEP processes
- Exceptional communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and collaborative mindset
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Participate in the IEP process, providing expertise and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in individual or group settings
- Maintain accurate treatment records and progress notes in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Educate and support families on strategies for communication development at home
