Pediatric School-Based SLP | Des Plaines, Illinois

This part-time, contract-to-hire opportunity offers you the chance to work with a diverse caseload, covering PreK through 8th grade students, in a supportive and collaborative educational setting. You’ll collaborate with educators and families, delivering direct therapy and utilizing your clinical skills to help students overcome a variety of speech and language barriers.
Ideal candidates hold a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, possess an active IL SLP-CCC license, and have the IL PEL certification. Whether you’re experienced in schools, teletherapy, pediatrics, or exploring your CFY or SLPA background, your talents will be highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s in Speech Language Pathology required
- Valid IL SLP-CCC license and IL PEL
- Experience working with children, particularly in PreK-8th grades
- Backgrounds in teletherapy, in-person school-based, or pediatric settings welcomed
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech/language therapy and intervention for students PreK-8
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress updates
- Offer teletherapy support as needed
