Speech-Language Pathologist – School-Based (Maternity Leave Coverage / Itinerant Role)

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract position supporting a school-based program in the Lackawanna County and Dunmore area. This role begins as maternity leave coverage and transitions into itinerant student support in the spring.
Position Overview:
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: August 7, 2026
- Schedule: 35 hours per week (part-time candidates may be considered)
- Assignment: Maternity leave coverage transitioning to itinerant services in spring
- Service area: Lackawanna County and Dunmore, PA region
- Onsite only (virtual not accepted)
- School district details will be disclosed upon candidate qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students
- Support caseloads across multiple school sites
- Conduct evaluations, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Must be eligible to obtain/complete PA clearances
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- School-based experience required
Experience & Education:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Prior school-based experience required
Work Hours:
- 35 hours per week (flexible for part-time candidates if needed)
Employment Type:
- Contract - W2
Compensation:
- $47–54/hour DOE (average ~$50/hour, depending on years of experience)
