A school district in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time maternity leave coverage opportunity during the 2026–2027 school year. The selected candidate will provide services across a high school caseload and work alongside educators, related service providers, and support staff to help students succeed in the school setting.

Position Details:

Start Date: Approximately September 2, 2026
End Date: Approximately February 1, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Setting: School-Based
Caseload: Services provided across 4 high schools
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
Position Type: Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals and needs
Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluation processes as appropriate
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation and required compliance records
Participate in meetings and provide recommendations to support student success

Qualifications:

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license required
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Candidates must be comfortable providing coverage for a maternity leave assignment
