School Speech Language Pathologist - Anoka, MN
Step into a rewarding opportunity as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in a vibrant educational setting near Anoka, MN. This contract position offers a dynamic work schedule of four days per week, beginning in early December 2026. You'll provide vital speech services to approximately 47 students ranging from PreK through 8th grade, helping young learners build confidence and communication skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
You’ll enjoy collaboration with a dedicated peer, as another speech therapist on site will primarily focus on evaluations for eight hours each week. This team-based approach ensures ample support for student needs and your professional growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience delivering pediatric and school-based speech services
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in PreK–8th grade students
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to support student learning
- Develop, implement, and document individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide ongoing progress reports and recommendations to educators and parents
- Coordinate services efficiently with the on-site speech therapist assigned to evaluations
- Participate actively in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
