This full-time contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) offers an opportunity to support elementary and middle school students from PreK through 8th grade in the Los Angeles area. The role combines virtual service delivery with in-person assessments, providing a dynamic and flexible work environment tailored to children with diverse communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students across 1-2 school sites, focusing on PreK-8 students.
- Provide push-in and push-out speech therapy services that address individual student needs.
- Administer in-person assessments while performing most sessions virtually.
- Support students with Autism, nonverbal communication challenges, and severe behavioral needs.
- Utilize SEIS (Special Education Information System) and SEIS billing for documentation and compliance.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensed to practice in California with no waivers accepted.
- Proven experience working with elementary students, particularly in a school setting.
- Skilled in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
- Comfortable providing services to students with autism and complex behavioral profiles.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based primarily in the Los Angeles area with service sites nearby.
- Full-time role at 37.5 hours per week for the full school year.
