Pre-School Elementary School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Columbus, Georgia
Step into a rewarding contract role providing speech-language pathology support to students across all grade levels, from pre-school through 12th grade. This full-time position, beginning as soon as possible and extending through the end of the school year, allows you to make a meaningful difference within a diverse student population. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (state certification required)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings
- Familiarity with the needs of pre-school, elementary, middle school, and high school students (K-12th grade)
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Strong commitment to supporting student success and progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to determine speech and language needs and provide direct therapy services
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Consult with educators, administrators, and parents to support student achievement
- Adapt therapy methods to fit diverse learning styles and developmental levels, from early childhood through high school
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based team discussions
