Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Active state license to practice as an SLP and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP process and documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s progress
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and contribute to progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and staff development workshops
- Advise and assist staff on strategies to support students’ language development in the classroom
