Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, your role will focus on implementing effective interventions, developing individualized plans, and ensuring progress for a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP Cert in AL)
- Alabama SLP Educator Cert and completed fingerprinting
- ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Recent school-based SLP or pediatric experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school locations (preschool through high school) as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students (onsite only)
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Maintain appropriate documentation and progress reports for student files
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support overall educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of student support strategies
You’ll be working a 37.5 hour workweek following the academic calendar (August through May), serving across several school sites.
