Make a difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language therapy in a supportive school setting. This is a contract opportunity for certified Speech-Language Pathologists to work onsite in a collaborative, resource-rich environment with a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students. Positions span multiple elementary, middle, and high school campuses, offering the chance to gain experience across age groups.
You’ll play a pivotal role helping students build their communication skills and confidence, working alongside dedicated educators and support staff. This is an onsite position beginning in early August and continuing through the end of May, with a consistent weekly schedule.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in Alabama
- SLP Educator Certificate for Alabama (must be verifiable through the state certification portal)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellow (CF) applicants will also be considered
- Experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Thorough understanding of IEP process and best practices for working with diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement IEPs
- Serve multiple school locations and adapt to various caseload demands
- Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation
- Participate in school team meetings and contribute to program development
