A school district in the Fort Myers, Florida area is seeking qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2026–2027 school year. Multiple school locations are available, and caseload assignments will vary depending on the school site. The SLP will provide speech and language services to students while collaborating with educational teams to support academic and communication success.
Responsibilities
Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in IEP meetings and eligibility staffing
Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication needs
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
Active Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) SLP license required and/or valid Florida teaching certification
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple school settings
Fingerprinting and district clearance required prior to start
Position Details
Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Potentially open to part-time candidates
Multiple school locations available
Caseloads will vary based on assigned school site

Speech-Language Pathologists working in Florida schools are typically required to maintain licensure through the Florida Department of Health and may also require certification through the Florida Department of Education depending on district requirements.
