You will work with adult inpatients to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders—making a direct impact on patient outcomes.
Schedule:
- Weekdays, typically 8:00am–4:30pm (varies based on caseload)
- No on-call required
- Floating between two inpatient departments, driving required
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Inpatient hospital experience essential
- Proficient in completing and interpreting video swallow studies
- Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
- Current license to practice as an SLP
- Comfortable navigating between two hospital campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat adult inpatients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Perform and interpret video swallow assessments
- Document all care accurately in Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied healthcare professionals
- Foster a positive patient experience, ensuring compassionate and comprehensive care
- Follow hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
- Rotate between two hospital locations as required
