Schedule:
- Weekdays, typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, varying based on caseload
- No on-call responsibilities
- Role requires floating between both hospital locations (driving between sites)
Key Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Strong inpatient experience required
- Proficiency with hospital-based therapy procedures, particularly video swallow studies
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system preferred
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate flexibility in daily assignments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language evaluations and evidence-based interventions for adult inpatient populations
- Conduct and interpret video swallow studies (VFSS) to guide patient care
- Ensure thorough, accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR system
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individualized goals and functional outcomes
- Travel between both inpatient departments as scheduled
