Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in an acute care or hospital setting
- Active California SLP license required
- Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative framework
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient progress in accordance with professional and hospital standards
- Educate patients and families on strategies to improve functional communication
