What You’ll Need:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) credentials
- Previous experience supporting children in educational or pediatric settings, particularly at the elementary level, is preferred
- Familiarity with implementing therapy activities designed by a Speech Language Pathologist
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage documentation and track student progress effectively
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist a Speech Language Pathologist in delivering therapeutic interventions for elementary-aged students
- Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted communication goals
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce speech and language development
- Record and report student performance, identifying progress and areas of need
- Collaborate with teaching staff and families to ensure cohesive support for each child
- Maintain compliance with school and professional standards for therapy services
