Responsibilities include working directly with children to implement therapy plans, tracking and documenting progress, and collaborating closely with supervising speech-language pathologists and other school staff. You’ll have the chance to develop strong relationships with both students and educators, helping children gain greater confidence in their communication skills.

Skills and Experience Sought:

  • Valid SLPA license or certification as required by the state
  • Experience (or strong interest) working with school-age elementary children
  • Understanding of common speech and language interventions for K-5 students
  • Ability to follow therapeutic plans created by licensed Speech Language Pathologists
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with supervision and team members
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language support to assigned elementary students in accordance with provided plans
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on student progress
  • Assist the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in assessments and materials preparation
  • Partner with teachers and school staff to ensure integration of communication goals in the classroom
  • Foster an encouraging, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
