Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent qualification.
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure required by the state authorities.
- Prior experience providing support in school environments preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong commitment to fostering student development and success.
- Comfortable collaborating with supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in conducting group and individual therapy sessions as instructed.
- Prepare therapy materials, modify activities, and document progress toward IEP goals.
- Support the implementation of speech and language interventions tailored to students’ needs.
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, other staff, and families to maximize student learning and communication outcomes.
- Conduct screenings and follow-up tasks under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
