School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Westbrook, Maine

Key Qualifications:
- Holds an active SLPA license.
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric environments highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers, students, and families.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the delivery of speech and language services under the guidance of a licensed SLP.
- Familiarity with PreK and elementary age developmental milestones and classroom routines.
- Ability to adapt to a changing caseload and maintain organized records.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of speech and language therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to practice targeted speech and language skills.
- Facilitate engaging activities to reinforce therapy goals within the classroom setting.
- Document session notes and track progress according to provided guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and parents about student progress and participation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing student support planning.
