Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for SLPA licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
- Experience implementing therapy activities under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Assist the supervising speech-language pathologist with assessments and therapy preparations
- Support students across a range of ages and abilities
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required
