Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Waverly, VA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program, or equivalent
- Active, valid SLPA license/certification
- Prior experience in a school environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, reliable, and attentive to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students under supervision
- Participate in eligibility meetings with school staff and families
- Assist with and complete speech evaluations as needed
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation for student progress
- Support students in achieving Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Work closely with supervising SLPs and educational staff
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families and colleagues
