Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA licensure or certification (required)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with completing speech and language evaluations
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and caseload efficiently
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary educational team
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend eligibility meetings to contribute valuable insights and professional recommendations
- Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations for assigned students
- Support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals
- Provide direct speech-language services under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes as required by school and state guidelines
- Foster a positive learning environment to encourage student participation and growth
