Exciting opportunity available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with school-based experience to support students in the Houston Metro on the east and northeast side. This contract position will serve three campuses, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference while gaining hands-on experience in dynamic learning environments.
Ideal candidates are licensed SLPAs in Texas who are confident working on-site across multiple locations. If you have a passion for student success, adaptability, and are seeking a long-term assignment through May 2027, this could be a perfect fit.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license required (submit screenshot with application)
- Prior experience in a school setting as an SLPA
- Ability to reliably commute to three assigned campuses in the Houston Metro area
- On-site role only; remote options are not available
- Supervision hours for licensure cannot be provided – you must have your license in hand
- Current ability to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
- Willingness to purchase a laptop for reimbursement
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students under SLP supervision
- Implement IEP goals with fidelity and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and support staff
- Travel between Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School as assigned
- Communicate regularly with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams
