School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Springfield, Massachusetts

Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure and credentials for SLPA (or SLP-CF, depending on your experience level)
- Strong background and hands-on familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Experience serving high school-aged students, particularly those with ASD or varied learning needs, strongly preferred
- Commitment to adapting communication methods and partnering with an interdisciplinary team to support personalized educational goals
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language support for a caseload primarily composed of high school students within a specialized setting
- Implement and model use of AAC devices, tailoring interventions to meet each student’s unique communication needs
- Collaboratively plan and communicate with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce speech and language goals in multiple settings
- Thoroughly document progress, contribute to individualized plans, and participate in team meetings to drive student success
- Stay current with best practices for serving neurodiverse students and contribute positively to a dynamic, student-centered environment
