School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | South Burlington, Vermont

This contract role is based near South Burlington, VT and Shelburne, VT, with in-person responsibilities at a dynamic educational setting from August 21, 2026, through June 14, 2027. As an SLPA in this role, you will collaborate closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver targeted communication support, working alongside educators and families to support a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- SLP-A certification or a strong background in communication sciences is highly desirable
- Previous experience in school-based or healthcare-based settings as an SLPA
- Comfortable delivering services to students with a full range of needs, from mild to severe
- Experience with both individual (1:1), small group, push-in, and pull-out models of therapy
- Ability to adapt communication and therapy approaches to varied learning styles and support needs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to engage effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans and activities under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Deliver direct support to high school students, providing interventions that span mild to severe support needs
- Conduct both small group and individualized sessions, as well as push-in and pull-out services across the school day
- Collaborate with educational staff to monitor progress and report on student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely records for student progress and service delivery
