What you’ll bring:
- SLP-A certification or a solid background in communication sciences (preferred)
- Experience supporting students in school or healthcare environments as an SLPA
- Ability to manage services for a spectrum of student needs, from mild to severe
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating well with clinicians, educators, and families
- Flexibility to deliver services through various models: one-on-one, small group, push-in, and pull-out sessions
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Directly delivering speech-language therapy under the supervision of an SLP
- Working with high school students to promote communication skills and participation
- Collaborating with school teams to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and activities
- Flexibly adapting interventions to student needs and classroom environments
- Supporting generalization of skills in classroom and small group settings
