School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | San Mateo, California

You’ll be providing care to students with mild to moderate needs, including those on the high-functioning autism spectrum, in a fully inclusive, general education setting. There are no self-contained special day classes, allowing you to focus on fostering social cognition and communication skills in a collaborative, community-oriented environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid California State SLP or SLPA license—this is required
- Experience working within school or healthcare settings supporting children with a range of communication needs
- Comfort with inclusion-based service delivery and supporting students with social thinking goals
- Flexibility to work and travel between two school sites
- Commitment to a full school-year contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-class and pull-out speech/language services for K-8 students
- Support individuals and small groups addressing articulation, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic language
- Collaborate with teachers, SLP supervisors, and support staff to integrate services into the classroom
- Maintain timely documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
