What You’ll Bring:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
- Experience supporting speech and language therapy in a school environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and educational team members
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable approach to daily tasks
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans designed by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Work directly with students to practice speech, language, and communication skills in individual or group sessions
- Collect and record student data to track progress and adjust supports as needed
- Assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive environment adapted to a variety of student needs and learning styles
- Prepare or organize materials for sessions and contribute creatively to student engagement
- Communicate student progress and concerns to supervising clinicians and teachers
