- Active SLPA license or certification in good standing
- Previous experience in a school environment, particularly with PreK and elementary-aged children
- Strong understanding of child language and speech development
- Ability to implement therapeutic activities as directed by a licensed SLP
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children
- Commitment to maintaining detailed session notes and progress reports
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support classroom teachers and staff with carryover strategies
- Prepare therapy materials and schedule sessions efficiently
- Monitor and document student progress, communicating observations to supervising SLPs and educational teams
- Act as a positive resource for students, families, and colleagues
