Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred, though enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with students, staff, and families
- Organizational skills and a flexible, collaborative approach to meeting student needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with certified Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized therapy plans
- Support students with speech, language, and communication goals through direct and group intervention
- Assist in data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation of student performance
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure student needs are met in the classroom setting
- Participate in IEP meetings, as appropriate, and assist with related paperwork and reporting
