School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Irvine, California
Embark on a dynamic, contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for two full-time roles supporting students for the entire 2026-2027 academic year. These onsite positions are conveniently located within reach of Irvine, CA, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and teens within the school setting.
As an SLPA, you will collaborate with experienced speech-language pathologists, other therapists, and educators to facilitate communication skills, language development, and support individualized education plans for students across a diverse caseload.
Ideal applicants will have:
- Valid SLPA credential or license required for practice in schools
- Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Compassionate approach to working with students of varying ages and needs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility with caseload and adaptability to evolving student requirements
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing instructional speech and language therapy activities under the supervision of an SLP
- Supporting students in reaching their speech and language goals
- Maintaining accurate therapy documentation and records
- Participating in progress monitoring and contributing to student IEPs as needed
- Communicating progress and observations with the supervising SLP and educational staff
