Make a meaningful impact working as an SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) providing dedicated 1:1 pediatric support in a close-knit educational community. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to engage with a diverse caseload of 40 students across multiple supportive school environments, including elementary and high school settings within small districts. You’ll work near Pilot Rock, Oregon, traveling between sites where collaboration and student-centered care are at the heart of every day.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification and state licensure for Oregon
- Experience delivering 1:1 speech and language services to children or adolescents, preferably in school-based settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing needs across multiple sites and age groups
- Compassionate approach with a focus on supporting students’ individual growth
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Engage with students in both group and individual sessions, targeting personalized therapy goals
- Assist with the planning, documentation, and implementation of therapeutic interventions
- Communicate progress with supervising SLP and educational team members
- Support IEP processes by contributing observations and feedback as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session activities
