Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Bel Air, MD
A contract position is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in grades PreK through 5th within two elementary schools located in the Baltimore, Maryland area. This role requires on-site presence approximately 37.5 hours per week, with a schedule split between two schools: Magnolia Elementary (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Mondays and Wednesdays). The assignment begins on February 16, 2026, and concludes on May 29, 2026, with the potential to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) services for an additional four weeks in July 2026.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Compliance with time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including District background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review as per House Bill 486
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK-5 populations, preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage caseload between two school sites
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students in early childhood and elementary grades
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments, and treatment plans
- Adhere to district policies and procedures, including mandatory reporting and confidentiality standards
Location: Bel Air and Joppatowne areas, Baltimore region, MD
Additional Information:

- Prescreen interviews available; candidates should be flexible in providing availability for scheduling between 9-11 AM or 2-3 PM EST
