Support students’ communication growth this school year as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant! In this contract role starting in August and running through May, you’ll have the chance to work across several elementary and middle schools in the Jacksonville area. With full-time opportunities available—plus options for part-time flexibility—you can tailor your schedule to fit your life while making a difference each day.
Students from elementary through middle school will benefit from your expertise as you collaborate with dedicated educators and experienced SLPs. All work is conducted on-site, so you’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships within each school community as you help students achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida DOH SLPA license required
- Previous experience in schools or pediatrics preferred
- Skilled in managing moderate caseloads and collaborating with diverse staff
- Adaptable and driven to work at multiple school sites within the district
- Ability to clear the fingerprinting/background check (AHCA Clearinghouse knowledge a plus)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language interventions under SLP supervision
- Accurately document student progress and assist with developing intervention materials
- Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and IEP teams regarding student needs and plans
- Travel as necessary between assigned schools
