School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Orange, California

There are two immediate SLPA contract positions available. Each role is initially scheduled for 7 hours per day (35 hours per week). Please note, if the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist is hired, schedules may shift to 5.75 hours daily (28.75 hours weekly), with possible expansion toward 30 hours per week pending administrative approval.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active SLPA licensure
- Prior experience working in school settings, particularly at the elementary level
- Direct or support experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies—or confidence and willingness to work with AAC
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively under the guidance of an SLP and as part of a multidisciplinary school team
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language intervention services to elementary students, including those utilizing AAC technology
- Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals, in coordination with the supervising SLP
- Accurately document student progress and participate in team meetings as needed
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Support classroom teachers and families with carryover techniques and strategies
