Pediatric School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Oakland, Maine

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting K-5 students using your expertise in speech-language pathology and therapy. Work 3-4 days per week in a dynamic elementary school environment, making a direct impact on children’s communication skills and school success. This flexible position welcomes both SLPs (including CCC, CFY, and healthcare backgrounds) and SLPAs with school or healthcare experience. Teletherapy professionals are also encouraged to apply, providing services virtually to students in need.
Compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $30–$40 per hour based on experience, and you’ll receive guaranteed hours along with comprehensive benefits when working 30 or more hours weekly.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for SLP or SLPA
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), CFY, or relevant school/healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with pediatric or elementary-aged populations, especially K-5
- Previous exposure to school-based or teletherapy service models a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Comfortable adapting sessions to student IEPs and diverse learning needs
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-5 students
- Complete evaluations, develop treatment plans, and contribute to IEP development
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to track student progress
- Provide direct or teletherapy services aligned with best practices and school guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as needed
