Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Full-Time

Soliant is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a specialized day school in Portland, Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity involves working primarily with a high school caseload of students with diverse communication and special education needs. The ideal candidate will have experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and strategies to support student success.

Qualifications
- Active Maine SLPA License (or ability to obtain)
- AAC experience is required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Provide direct therapy services to high school students with a variety of communication disorders
- Utilize AAC devices and communication systems to support student participation and independence
- Document student progress and maintain accurate service records
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with therapy preparation, progress monitoring, and IEP implementation
