Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire SLPA certification is required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Knowledge of speech/language development and related interventions for elementary students
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with children, faculty, and families
- Ability to follow plans and direction from supervising SLPs with attention to detail and initiative
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP
- Assist in the delivery of individual and group speech sessions for students on the caseload
- Document student progress and report observations to the SLP
- Support classroom teachers with strategies that facilitate student communication
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain therapeutic materials and ensure an organized, positive therapy setting
