Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as an SLPA or SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, progress reporting, and evidence-based therapy approaches
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills and adaptability for dynamic school schedules
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with varying needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Assist in screening, evaluation, and assessment processes as appropriate for your credential level
- Document student progress and regularly communicate updates to educational teams and families
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and contribute to the implementation of individualized education plans
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Provide guidance and resources to classroom staff to support student carryover of communication skills
